Why choose TGV INOUI?
Operated by SNCF, the French national railway company, the TGV INOUI has been around for over 40 years. These high-speed trains revolutionised long-distance travel in France. Far-flung destinations that once required overnight journeys suddenly became accessible in just a matter of hours.
TGV INOUI travel is now an essential part of everyday life for those who live and work in the country. Hop on board and see what all the hype is about.
Where do TGV INOUI trains go?
From Paris, it's a cinch to get to every major French city you can think of.
The southwest of France: If you'd like to explore rolling vineyards and impressive sand dunes, Bordeaux is just a couple of hours away.
The south of France: If you're looking for fields of lavender, sunshine and that Riveria lifestyle, book Avignon (3 hours from Paris) or Nice (6 hours from Paris).
The east of France: Lyon (2 hours from Paris) is a culinary capital not to be missed. Head to Strasbourg for German-inspired culture and architecture.
The Loire region: Nantes (2 hours from Paris) boasts stunning architecture, signature wine and proximity to the castles of the Loire Valley.
International: Want to add another country to your itinerary? There are direct TGV INOUI services from France to multiple cities in Germany plus selected stations in Italy and Spain .

What should I know before boarding?
There is no formal check-in or customs for domestic journeys. Ticket inspection and passport checks take place once on board on international routes. Aim to be on the platform about 10 minutes before departure; earlier at busy times.
When boarding at a Spanish mainline station, luggage must go through a metal detector.
What can I expect on board?
An increasing number of TGV INOUI trains are double-decker, referred to as TGV INOUI Duplex. Choose an upper-level seat for better views. Air conditioning is standard.
There are dedicated luggage racks at carriage ends and overhead shelves; please follow the baggage size rules below and label all items.
There are restrooms, sometimes with baby-changing facilities, at the end of most carriages. All TGV INOUI trains have a bar-bistro carriage, though it may be closed on short-distance services and at the beginning or end of longer journeys.
The bar carriage offers hot and cold snacks, sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, cakes, hot and cold drinks, beer and wine. There is also a food and drink trolley that passes through the aisles when staffing allows.
