Paris Montparnasse Train Station: Gare Montparnasse
The Paris Montparnasse Train Station first opened in 1840. Not long after its opening, a second station was built, between 1848 and 1852. This Paris train station provides service for intercity TGV trains traveling west and south-west of Paris. The Gare Montparnasse also houses a metro station and is credited with having the fastest moving walkway in the world. Please note that the Vaugirard annex (mostly suburban but also regional trains to Granville) requires a up to a 10 minute walk from the main portion of the station.
